Excellent, but a precursor to the masterpiece, "The Christian Doctrine of God." Amazingly, Torrance in "The Christian Doctine of God" Torrance weaves the epistemology of Michael Polanyi's "Personal Knowledge" in to insights about the theological methods of Athenasius and the Nicene Fathers. The doctrine of the Trinit,y understood in an integrated way with scientific knowledge generally, is breathtaking. Polanyi's "indwelling" taken from John the apostle.
Great book! I've used the book in the past when I've taught Christian doctrine. However, after two moves, I can't find my old copy.
T F Torrance is always good in his treatment of historical Trinitarian faith. When you read this you will get a lot out of it.
