The Thesaurus does have very large, easy to read print, however because of this many simple words are left out of the thesaurus. It gives you only about one word and leaves it up to you to look up the word. After looking up the word, you are given another word to look up...and so on, and so on. It is frustrating, to say the least.
Most of the words I have looked up, were't even in there. This was definitely a waste of money. I have a very old Roget's Thesaurus, and I find myself still using it, even though I have to use a large magnifying glass. I had hoped to leave my magnifying glass behind, but I had to dust it off.
My husband loves his new Thesaurus. His vision has kept him from using our previous one. This fits the bill and has the features of our old one.
I purchased this for my 96 year old father. He likes it, but said it is missing many of the words he has looked up. Larger print...fewer words!! It is easy to use if you are looking for basic material.
I expected a larger volume with many more pages. It is more for a grade school then for an adult. I was disappointed and am considering returning it if I still can.
The book is OK but does not have advanced level words needed by higher education writing students.
This reference book is a MUST for the visually impaired . Whether you are a student or a person wanting to improve one's vocabulary , you need look no further than this book . The hard cover edition contains more references than it's paperback version and hurts ten times as much when used as a Weapon of Mass Destruction , by a pissed off g-friend during her'time'of the month !
