Finally, a puzzle book that is difficult, but fun and doable. I've struck out on the last couple NYT books I got, but this one has been just about right. Do wish they'd leave out so many writers and movie directors names that no one really knows, as well as so many obscure geographic places.
This is a good puzzle book, with just the right amount of challenge for me. I am enjoying doing these, but I do wish the print could be a bit larger. I don't require, or even want, "large print" puzzles, but I do find these a little bit uncomfortably small. The puzzles do have titles, although at least one reviewer indicated that his copy did not.
My approval isn't so much the product, which is just what you expect it to be, but the speedy delivery! Next day!
These crosswords are always challenging and stimulating. Lots of double meanings so you realize the complexities of the English language. I do them with my wife because it often takes the two of us to do them. Course if you're a Jeopardy champion you would not be at all interested.
For those of us who are puzzle fans, the NYT crosswords are the best. And their omnibus editions are the best way to buy them.
I've spent many happy hours with book!
Me and my girl need to come back to these puzzles several times before we can crack them. The NYT doesn't shy from throwing wicked spitballs!
