It's in nice order I you can look for what you need not very different from last addition,Still missing a lot of guns like the Tavor and more

May be the best selling reference but that would suggest a paucity in competing options. As a collector and gun nut, I was dismayed by the gaps and outright absence of models within different trademarks. Not one of my favorites.

I have been buying the Shooter's Bible for over 40 years. This edition is filled with typos and misinformation. It is very disappointing.

perfect for what I needed

I bought one of these a couple of years ago for a friend and he requested the new updated version this year. It lists all the guns marketed and for the gun collector, it makes the perfect gift.

The 105th edition of Shooter's Bible is sorely lacking in up-to-date new product information. There are numerous new products introduced in January that are not included, but which were included Gun Digest 2014 published in August. The regular product listings are also noticeably incomplete. I am returning this book.

Good quality and price.

NIce but very disappointing. NO values, not pricing guide, no grading suggestions, just a book of modern firearms.

About the Author

Hieu Minh Nguyen was born in 1991, a child of Vietnamese immigrants, his debut collection of poetry, This Way to the Sugar, was a finalist for both the MN Book Awards and the Lambda Literary Awards. Nguyen has received awards and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Kundiman, the Vermont Studio Center, the Minnesota State Arts Board, and the Loft Literary Center. His poems have appeared in Poetry, The Offing, BuzzFeed, The Academy of American Poets, and elsewhere. He lives in Minneapolis.

Hieu Minh Nguyen’s books are amazing and he always tends to outdid himself, I won’t spoil it for you, but his book is beautiful, heart wrenching, and it will leave you breathless. If you love poetry, it is for you!

Gay sex rising. Beyond frankness: a splitting open of the self. I am grateful to hear this voice.

Just read it. Trust me.

Nguyen's book of poems not here have an eroticism to it.Now, I sat on reviewing this mainly because there's an adjective that belongs in front of that word “eroticism”. And as much as I thought about it I really couldn't sit down and figure the best modifier to put in there. The closest word I would say is like “tragic”, but was also something else I can't really Define it's a certain je ne sais quoi in a real sense. But overall they're pretty good. Great book!Now this old dog has to learn new tricks.

Since the ignorant public school system has no longer been teaching cursive writing, my son has struggled with reading it and writing it. This book has been helping him tremendously! He asked me for this, and has been doing independent study using this book on his off time.

I got this book for a single reason: to speed up my sermon preparation process. A quick read. Not much that is really new...but a good solid review. I already have a pretty structured system but it is always good to see other models.

It is ironic, the very steps the book leads you in making and evaluating a sermon (even though excellent), could be the reason for burn-out that the book warns against. We need to heed the parable of the shower, and know that not all will get it, no matter how well refined your sermon is.

Looking for something different and delicious in stir-fry? This is your book. We've made several of the recipes and loved everyone. All ingredients are easily found at the grocery, and inexpensive. The author describes the dish before she lists the cooking instructions which I find helpful. She also lists prep and cook times for each recipe which I like, however, I have found that the prep times for me are about twice as long. That being said about 80-85% of the prep times are 10 minutes and under.

I bought the book because I enjoy her TV shows. Sadly, the recipes in this book are not very enjoyable.Every recipe I tried in this book needs adjustments. I made about half the recipes in this book and I have yet to come across a great tasting one. They are mostly one-dimensional in taste and range from too salty to too sour to too bland. All of the dishes came out tasting more like something a home cook whips up at the last minute than something you actually paid money to replicate.For an equally easy to make dishes, but with vastly superior results, try the book by Diana Kuan instead. The two books have many similar dishes, but the flavours are amazing for most of the dishes in that book.

I bought the kindle version and I love it because I make stir frys a lot and using the techniques in this little book has really made my recipes special.

Great recipes and photos but not for my family of 5. All the recipes serves 2 and you’ll need a scale to weigh all your food.

The recipes look good, but every single dish calls for chilis and it never explains what kind of chilis these are nor where they can be purchased.Always the same chilis. Frustrating! Seems small but it can make a difference in how the dishes are to taste.

Bought for my wife. she has used it several times.

About every other page has a 3/4 page color photo of the dish but the quality of the photo isn’t good, not clear and the colors are dull.Each recipe gives you a quick peek of how much prep time and cook time is needed as well as vegetarian, vegan, deep fried etc icons? I have no idea as I couldn’t find the legend for these icons (see my photo); but this is better than the typical written form though.Overall it provides a good but basic explanation of some wok tips, order of ingredients to be added into the wok, and glossary of ingredients which should be helpful for most.As for the recipes themselves, many of them are Sichuan based recipes and those that weren’t, were pretty basic, untypical and just didn’t appeal to my taste and I’m Chinese.

This is one of the most impressive free kindle editions of a book that I have read. It is taken from a 1902 printing (a 2nd edition) that was reprinted from the posthumous edition of 1777. It includes endnotes and an extensive index put together by L.A Selby-Bigge, a late fellow of University College, Oxford. There is a table of contents at the beginning with hyperlinks. The endnotes also have hyperlinks, which makes it easy to read the notes and jump back to the text. The index also has hyperlinks. This is the first kindle freebie that I have seen with these features. This is handy for this type of book. Note that Hume is Scottish and the book was originally written in English.I have always had an interest in philosophy and history and finally got around to reading this foundational work. The title describes exactly what this book is about. Hume starts by giving a brief introduction to philosophy and then jumps into the main questions. The biggie is where do ideas come from? How do we understand things? What is instinct, inspiration? It is interesting that his answers to these questions still hold up well to modern thought.Hume wrote this book at a time and place where Calvinism still held great sway and God was thought to be behind every thought and action. His ideas were radical and I was interested to see how he tried to delicately handle ideas that would potentially offend many of his readers.I highly recommend this seminal work to any one interested in philosophy and enjoys stretching their minds a bit. This is something I will refer to often. I continue to enjoy the access my Kindle gives me to great classics like this.

Rene Descartes (1596-1650), "the father of modern philosophy," was a rationalist who attempted to attain certainty by discovering "first principles" on which he could overcome skeptical doubt and establish irrefutable truth. He claimed that one thing is absolutely certain: Cogito, ergo sum ("I think, therefore I am"). From this solid rock on which to stand, he proceeded to claim that by reason alone he could prove the existence of God, the immortality of the soul, and the reality of an afterlife.Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) was trained in the rationalist tradition, but when he read David Hume's work, the impact shattered his way of thinking. In the preface to his `Prolegomenon,' Kant stated that reading Hume woke him from his "dogmatic slumbers." If Hume was right, then metaphysics, as Kant had previously believed it, was impossible, nothing but "sophistry and illusion." In his most famous work, Critique of Pure Reason, Kant wrote, "I have therefore found it necessary to deny knowledge [that is, show the limits of reason and human understanding] in order to make room for faith."An empiricist and skeptic, David Hume (1711-1776) was born and died in Edinburgh, Scotland. His magnum opus, An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding (1748), like Kant's Critique of Pure Reason (1781), is one of the key texts of the 18th-century Enlightenment. Taking a dim view of miracles, mysticism, and metaphysics, Hume skeptically asserted that empirical proofs of religion (such as the existence of God, the immortality of the soul, and an afterlife) are not possible. In effect, he was saying (to paraphrase Kant), "I have therefore found it necessary to deny knowledge [that is, reason and human understanding] in order to make room for lack of faith [that is, to make room for skepticism and unbelief]."In the famous last paragraph of his Enquiry, Hume writes: "When we run over libraries, persuaded of these [empirical and skeptical] principles, what havoc must we make? If we take in our hand any volume: of divinity or school metaphysics, for instance, let us ask: Does it contain any abstract reasoning concerning quantity or number? No. Does it contain any experimental reasoning concerning matter of fact and experience? No. Commit it then to the flames: For it can contain nothing but sophistry and illusion."Hume clarifies the terms "a priori" reasoning (deduction) and "a posteriori" empiricism (induction). Deductive reasoning is done "before experience," such as the mathematical conclusion that 2 + 2 = 4. Inductive reasoning is done "after experience"; it is the scientific method (forming hypotheses, performing experiments, and observing phenomena). The former process, "abstract reasoning concerning quantity or number" (as in mathematics and geometry), does indeed produce certainty. However, the latter process produces, at best, only probability (albeit often a strong probability), based as it is on the assumption of "the uniformity of nature" (that the universe will be the same in the future as it is in the present). Therefore, Hume's "empiricism" is qualified by its open-ended character (as scientific hypotheses are subject to revision as new evidence is produced).Hume's "skepticism" is also qualified. Although Hume admits that, technically, Pyrrhonism (excessive skepticism) cannot be philosophically disproven, Hume recommends the practicality of a "mitigated" or moderate skepticism that acknowledges the importance of common sense and common life.Hume's Enquiry is, one might quip, not an easy work for our "human understanding" to grasp.
